Collaboration: Becoming Small and Large at Once

Collaboration—with other colleges, with research universities, and with entities beyond academia such as non-profits, K-12, corporations, media—can make any small college or university simultaneously large.

And advances in technology can facilitate collaborations independent of geographic proximity to add to the curriculum and to enrich the mentorship of students that is central to the residential experience.

But collaboration also relates to the campus itself, to seeking yet-unrealized connections among departments and administrative offices—collaborations, say, between the career center and the alumni office.
